Summary
Install the FEniCSx stack first, then install the newest scifem available from the custom wheel index.
Pip does not prioritize
--extra-index-url: it combines candidates from both indexes and chooses the newest version. After scifem 0.23.0 was released as a source distribution on PyPI, the previous command selected it instead of the binary wheel from the custom index and attempted a source build.Using the custom repository as the sole
--index-urlfor the separate scifem command avoids a version pin while ensuring that installation remains wheel-only.--no-depsprevents general dependencies from being resolved exclusively against the custom index; they are installed by the surrounding FEniCSx and FESTIM commands.Failure: https://github.com/OSSFE/hackathon-2026/actions/runs/35078681517
