Current Behavior

At some point on some random day my copy of Nextcloud will just cease to function and proceed to spin up my server's fan to a unreasonable degree. The thing with is, when I restart the container nextcloud works as it should; but it doesn't change the fact this weird behavior keeps happening.

Expected Behavior

Nextcloud functioning and working as it should

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Setup and run nextcloud.
  2. Leave it running.
  3. Use it as normal.

The same thing happened here with the image tag 33.0.3. I haven't experienced it with version 33.0.4 yet.

this is very much likely related to high cpu usage issue.

I'm not sure if it's related to this issue because it runs here on an on-premises bare metal machine with plenty of CPU cores. Also it does not resolve itself after some time.

I had the same issue with version 33.0.4 this morning. Around four PHP-FPM processes were using a lot of CPU. I upgraded to version 33.0.5 and will continue to monitor it.

Yes. Thinking that, I am currently reducing my upload limit. I am at 1000 kilobytes right now on my client. Issue still persists.

Meanwhile, I also think that the issue is related to high CPU usage, as it seems to happen when the general load on my server is higher than when it is idle (e.g. when some backups are running). Although the load is not particularly high.

It seems as though, nextcloud is unable to handle 'no limit' bandwidth. It straight up crashes. I've just now finished building a family cloud share for my parents on a Pi5. I have a hacker gadgets PoE + NVME hat on it.

Edit: Plus, a PoE injector straight from the horses mouth (raspbery pi's shop).

Even with a new device, starting fresh. Nextcloud is unable to handle 'no limit' from clients. I had to limit my parents' clients to 3 megabytes a second.
