📝 Why & how

Adds four new libraries for keeping a wallet's cryptography native in React Native and Expo:

  • @hzblj/nitro-crypto: native cryptography, a Zig engine behind Nitro Modules, with chain adapters for Ethereum, Bitcoin and Solana. Seeds and private keys stay in native memory.
  • @hzblj/crypto-vault: a wallet's seed sealed by the Secure Enclave or StrongBox, opened after Face ID or the fingerprint.
  • @hzblj/crypto-recovery: a wallet's password-sealed backup kept in iCloud Keychain or Android's Block Store.
  • @hzblj/crypto-airgap: air-gapped signing over QR codes (BC-UR v2), for hardware wallets and offline signers.

nitro-crypto, crypto-vault and crypto-recovery are Nitro modules (React Native 0.86, a development build), so newArchitecture: "new-arch-only"; crypto-airgap is pure TypeScript. The images are the example apps from each repo's README.

✅ Checklist

  • Added library to react-native-libraries.json
