Proposed Changes

Part of splitting #22 into small pull requests that can be reviewed one at a time. It is stacked on #42 (docs/r3-limitations), so it shows only its own change; merge #42 first.

As in FSharp.Azure.Cosmos, every test class carries a self-sufficient TestCategoryBaseAttribute from TestCategories.fs, so a subset runs with --filter TestCategory=... without a separate string constant: ProcessingOptions, Observable, Chunk, Builder, Async, Task, MapAsync (also Async and Task, because every mapAsync test runs both flavours) and Integration.

Types of changes

What types of changes does your code introduce to FSharp.Control.R3?
Put an x in the boxes that apply

  • Bugfix (non-breaking change which fixes an issue)
  • New feature (non-breaking change which adds functionality)
  • Breaking change (fix or feature that would cause existing functionality to not work as expected)

Checklist

Put an x in the boxes that apply. You can also fill these out after creating the PR. If you're unsure about any of them, don't hesitate to ask. We're here to help! This is simply a reminder of what we are going to look for before merging your code.

  • Build and tests pass locally – 0 warnings, Fantomas is clean, and the tests that exist at this commit pass
  • I have added tests that prove my fix is effective or that my feature works (if appropriate) – in test: cover the library with integration tests #22, the top of this stack
  • I have added necessary documentation (if appropriate)

Further comments

The two existing test classes get their categories here; #22 tags the test classes it adds.

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

As in FSharp.Azure.Cosmos, every test class carries a self-sufficient
`TestCategoryBaseAttribute` from `TestCategories.fs`, so a subset runs
with `--filter TestCategory=...` without a separate string constant:
`ProcessingOptions`, `Observable`, `Chunk`, `Builder`, `Async`, `Task`,
`MapAsync` (also `Async` and `Task`, because every mapAsync test runs
both flavours) and `Integration`.

The two existing test classes get their categories now; the test
classes of the integration suite get theirs as they are added.

What changed in this PR

Adds component-based MSTest filtering to FSharp.Control.R3, preparing for the expanded test suite in #22.

Changes:

  • Defines eight category attributes, including shared Async/Task categories for MapAsync.
  • Tags existing test classes and compiles category definitions first.
  • Documents the new category file.
